NanoSpark ("we", "our", or "the App") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our application.
Key Point: NanoSpark is designed with privacy first. All AI processing happens locally on your device, and your conversations never leave your phone.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information Stored Locally (On Your Device Only)
The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:
- Conversations: All chat messages between you and the AI
- Notes: Any notes you create within the App
- Images: Photos you share with the AI for analysis
- Preferences: Your settings and customization choices
- AI Model: The Gemma model files downloaded to your device
We have no access to this data. It remains entirely under your control.
1.2 Information We Collect (Analytics & Diagnostics)
We use Firebase services to improve the App. This may include:

If you make in-app purchases:

- Purchase history
This information is processed by Apple App Store or Google Play Store. We receive only confirmation of purchase status.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Provide and maintain the App
- Improve App performance and stability
- Fix bugs and technical issues
- Analyze usage patterns to improve features
- Process purchases and verify subscriptions
- Comply with legal obligations
3. AI Model and Processing
3.1 Local AI Processing
NanoSpark uses Google's Gemma 3n model, which runs entirely on your device:
- ✅ All AI conversations are processed locally
- ✅ No conversation data is sent to Google or any external server
- ✅ The model works offline after initial download
- ✅ Your prompts and AI responses stay on your device
3.2 Model Download
The AI model is downloaded once from our servers or Google's distribution network. Only the model file is transferred; no user data is collected during this process.
3.3 Google's Role
While we use Google's Gemma model, Google does not receive your:
- Conversations
- Prompts
- Images
- Any personal data
The model is open-source and runs independently on your device.
4. Data Sharing
4.1 We Do Not Sell Your Data
We never sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
4.2 Third-Party Services
We share limited data with:

- Access: View data stored on your device
- Delete: Remove all local data by uninstalling the App or clearing app data
- Opt-out: Disable analytics in device settings
- Portability: Export your conversations (feature dependent)
For EU/EEA Users (GDPR)
You additionally have rights to:
- Request access to personal data we process
- Request correction or deletion
- Object to processing
- Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
For California Users (CCPA)
You have the right to:
- Know what personal information is collected
- Request deletion of personal information
- Opt-out of sale of personal information (we don't sell data)
- Non-discrimination for exercising your rights
7. Data Security
We implement security measures including:
- Local encryption of stored data
- Secure HTTPS connections for any network requests
- Firebase App Check for service integrity
- No server-side storage of personal content
8. Children's Privacy
NanoSpark is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
9. International Users
If you use the App from outside Singapore, please note that:
- Analytics data may be processed in the United States (Firebase/Google)
- Local data remains on your device regardless of location
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify you of significant changes through:
- App notifications
- Updated "Last modified" date
